FAQ

Sportsman Pointe HOA Board of Directors made the decision towards the end of 2024 to part ways with Sentry Management.  Sportsman Pointe HOA is now self-managed by the elected Board of Directors.  This gives the community better control over knowing what is going on with our finances and our community.  It also allows the community to make decisions that are in the best interest of our HOA.

We would love to have more people within our community volunteer to be a part of the Board or one of the committees that we would like to establish.  Contact the Board either through email or make a call to the provided phone number to discuss opportunities to volunteer for the HOA.

A Homeowners Association (HOA) is an organization that manages and maintains a residential community, such as our subdivision.  HOA’s are typically run by a Board of Directors, elected by the homeowners and responsible for setting and enforcing rules, collecting fees, and managing common areas and amenities.  There are a wide range of topics that the rules cover, including landscaping, parking, trailer parking, and exterior modification to your home, etc.  The enforcement of these rules, collection of association dues, and managing of the HOA development are all guided through our documents such as the CC&R’s and Bylaws found in the documents section of this website.

If you need immediate assistance of the legal or medical type, call 911.  If you need to reports an issue such as a leak in the common area irrigation, required maintenance of the common areas, or any complaints of violations please contact the HOA at (208) 960-5674.  We will respond as quickly as possible to any issues.

Yes, HOA’s have the authority to enforce rules and regulations through various means, such as written warnings (violations) fines, and legal actions.

HOA fees cover a variety of costs including landscaping, irrigation system maintenance and costs, common area maintenance, liability insurance coverage, and other services.  The specific costs covered can vary depending on the community amenities and the services provided.  Our amenities include 2 Parks with playgrounds, a basketball court, and a tennis/pickleball court.  Sportsman Pointe HOA also owns the irrigation pump house that supplies irrigation to all common areas and 2/3 of the homes in the HOA.

Unpaid HOA fees can lead to late fees, accrued interest, and collections.  In some cases HOA’s can begin a foreclosure process on a property that is delinquent.  It is very important to contact the HOA and address any outstanding balances promptly.  These unpaid fees can lead to a lien being placed on the home and escalate to the foreclosure process.  All of these examples can dramatically increase the outstanding balance if not taken care of promptly.
